Just a little Joy!

Had to share a few things here today that make paper crafting so much fun!

First off....nesties! Love them! This card is just two layers using the biggest nestie from Labels 1. Then I folded a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 whit card base and attached it to the back.

Second fun thing....PTI cardstock and matching ink! This is Ripe Avocado cardstock and the image is stamped with the matching Ripe Avocado Palette Ink! And the button matches perfectly doesn't it? This is the most fantastic 110lb paper ever!! (if you are a paper junky like me....you know what I mean!)

And then the stamp! This is from TAC's Joy of Christmas! I just love those bold images that can make a super fast and simple card! I colored in the white space with a Clear Gelly Roll pen and it makes for some fantastic sparkle!

I thought these would make great little cards for gifts or even for place settings at a Holiday dinner! Possibilities are endless!

Hope your day is a good one! Thanks for stopping by!

In the mood for polka dots...

What's new you say? OK, I know I always am. So much that I had to use a little PTI today! Brought to you by PTI's Polka Dot Basics. I love set set more than my luggage! (Yes I am channeling Pioneer Woman!) It is SO fantastic! Polka dots just add so much and this set makes it so much easier!

Here is just a quick and simple card I made today using PTI and TAC. The Running Stitches are from TAC, along with the Merry Christmas sentiment. The polka dots and that fantastic Pure Poppy button are from PTI. What a great combo!

Yes, I know I am back to red and brown! I can't help it! My favorite colors! Hope you like it! Have a great day!

Let It Snow

It's not really snowing here....I just got a new stamp!

I have seen this one in The Angel Company catalog and just really never thought much about it, until one day I realized that I could use it! Now I am so happy to have it! It is very versatile for it being just one stamp in a set! You can emboss it, color it, make it vintage, make it sparkle....on and on! So here are two examples of its possibilities!

This first one I stamped in Burnt Umber and cut off the border. Clean and simple! (Yes I did distress again...what is the world coming to?)

This one I stamped in Versamark on vellum and then I used American Crafts Zing Embossing Powder and heated it up! Wow does that stuff make an incredible image! It is so nice and thick! It think this image looks perfect embossed!

So let me know what you think? If you have this stamp, send me a link so I can see your cards!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great Monday! (Can you believe it's Thanksgiving in just a few days? What happened to November?)

Another Holiday card...

This was a fun card to make! Just a few snowflakes, some white Versamagic and some fun red accents! I found these red glitter balls at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. I just love them!

The glitter strips through the middle are made from Wonder tape and Martha Stewart glitter! The "wintery" look is so much fun!

The sentiment is from Vintage Santa again. One more fantastic sentiment from that set!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Birthday Card

I realize that I never make enough Birthday cards. So I thought I would pull out my favorite Happy Birthday sentiment and make a card!

I just love this 7/8" Olive green double satin ribbon! It makes the yummiest bows! Between this and the Cuttlebug folder, I think it makes a fun elegant card!
What do you think?

Thickers...my favorite!!

Here is a fun card using NO stamping at all! I love this patterned paper! It a piece out of Nana's Nursery from DCWV. It comes complete with lots of bling! Then I added my favorite stickers of all.....THICKERS! They are fantastic alphabet stickers that come in all shapes and colors and textures! These are just simple white foam!

I took my Tombow white pen and added the stitch line around the circle. So simple and easy and it turned out so FUN!

Hope you like it! Have a great day!

Season's Greetings

I LOVE the sentiments from the Vintage Santa set from TAC. This one is my favorite because it looks like real fountain pen writing. Here is a card that I made today using Ornamental Snowflakes and Vintage Santa. I love this card! I love the vintage colors and can you believe I actually distressed some on this card? I am shocked too! But I like the look!

Let me know what you think? Stay tuned for some more fun cards this week! Thanks for stopping!

Snowflakes, already?

Yes, we did have snow yesterday! It was 74 degrees 3 days ago and now....rain and snow. Kansas. If you don't like the weather....wait 5 minutes.

So in honor of our snowflakes, I had to make a card.

I embossed a piece of Ivory CS with the Snowflake Cuttlebug Folder. I used Tim Holtz's Tea Dye Distress Ink and sponged over the debossed side of the paper, matted that piece with brown cardstock and, with foam tape, attached it to the red card base.

I tried to take a couple pictures here to show the sparkle down inside of the snowflakes. I used my Gelly Roll pen and colored each snowflake. In person, it looks very pretty and vintagey!

Ok, thanks for stopping today! Hope your Tuesday is a good one!

A Super Fun and Easy Gift Idea

I was so honored, recently, to be asked to be a Guest Designer on TAC's Savvy Projects Blog! So I started in on several projects and sent them off to be featured over the next couple of months!

I just had to stop in today to share one of my favorite projects! This is just a simple and fun paper mache bag and card set.

The bag is from Hobby Lobby in the "paintable stuff" section! I painted the bag red with Acrylic paint. Then took the snow flakes from Vintage Santa and stamped them in Noir Palette. I used a sponge and distressed the edges. I did this on the front and back of the bag.

Santa is stamped on TAC's Kraft and layered on TAC's Black CS. I used my edge distresser to rough up the edges of the Kraft, stamped the sentiment from the same set and attached the image to the bag. The bag also came with a brown paper handle so I took that out and added the black satin ribbon!

Inside the bag, I placed these cards....all using the Vintage Santa set!

Wrapping all the cards in clear cellophane and adding a bow, then putting the package inside the gift bag would make the perfect gift! Then once the cards are mailed off, the bag would make the perfect holiday decoration with some greenery inside or even just some tissue paper!

Hope you like my little project! Don't forget to grab your Vintage Santa set....he is so fun to work with!

Let me know what you think! Have a great day!!

Getting ready for Christmas...

I LOVE Christmas! I love the colors, the lights, the decorations. This is MY holiday, so much like Halloween is Barb's! :) First off though, I LOVE the reason for this season...the celebration of the birth of Jesus! What a great time of the year to remind us all what is really important.

Another of my favorite Christmas time activities is to send Christmas cards or pictures to friends and loved ones to let them know that we are thinking of them. Getting something handmade in the mail is so much fun!

Here are 2 of many, of my handmade cards to send this year!

The glitter strip is actually a piece of Wonder tape! I just cut it to fit, took the red backing off and sprinkled with glitter! SO much easier than glue!

Here is another one with the same layout....just a different background.

Super simple and fun cards for this time of year! Hope all is well! Have a great day!

Autumn Wishes

Let's face it....I am just a bad blogger anymore! How can one person be so busy, is what I would like to know! I would love a week on a beach with no phone or computer. Sounds great right?

Today I am here with one of my Color Combo challenges! I am so lucky to host this "motivational" over at Paper Wings once every two weeks! Today I gave the girls the opportunity to make a card using their favorite Fall colors! Here is my card.....

You know I am a sucker for Kraft but I just love the different shades of brown! And of course I had to throw in some red!

I just love Fall and I know I have told you that before! We are finally getting those great temp's here in Kansas! It is going to be in the 60's all week! Yeah!!! I love it!
If you have a Fall card to share, leave your link so I can go and check it out! Thanks for stopping by!
